Friday Postcard: Plaza Mayor

I’ve been slacking on the postcards lately! I have a huge backlog to get through, so if you submitted something please be patient!

Todays photo comes from Amielle whose blog is called Blue Eyed Sight.

I took it in Plaza Mayor, Madrid just before Christmas. The plaza was packed with parents and their children, people out trying to get Christmas shopping done. With all the crowds, there were street performers everywhere, more than there usually are. I see the bubble guys quite often, and most of them do let the kids try their hand at creating some of them, but this guy almost went a step further and actually created the bubbles with the kids inside. They were all so excited and it was so neat to see!

Amazing! I love the street performers in Plaza Mayor (shout-out to the infamous Fat Spiderman). It was one of my favorite places to just sit and people watch when I lived there.

The colours in the bubble is what catches my eye. Plus the look on the child’s face of bewilderment and excitement is pretty cool.

Beautiful! This just made me smile and brought back memories of homemade bubbles back in Turkmenistan.

I just had to come over and look at the photo because I recognized the name of the place from one of my Learning Spanish podcasts. 😀
