Hooray for the Holiday Season! Well, it feels only slightly festive so far in Colombia and I’m not really sure what to expect when I get to Ecuador next week. We’ll see. In the meantime, it’s time for another monthly roundup!

What’s Up With Me:

• Travel Talk with Mike and Stephanie- if you haven’t checked out my first foray into vlogging have a look, and feel free to send in some questions!
• Guest Posts at Art of Backpacking- I did Mike a solid this month and wrote a couple of pieces for his blog. Check out: 7 Tips for London on the Cheap and Canary Wharf: London’s Newest Attraction.
• 11 Skills to Learn on Your RTW Trip- I also did this piece for BootsnAll on places around the world where you can learn a new skill.
• Travel Plans: After a very rainy (but still pretty cool) month of backpacking around Colombia, we’re taking the show down south to Ecuador. We’re making some changes to the way we travel, adapting if you will, which I’ll be covering in an upcoming article.

• The Children of Cambodia- Alex in Wonderland- The adorable street children of Cambodia represent a really complex social problem. There’s no real right answer to how to deal with them, but Alex has some good tips.

• Why I Hated Fraser Island- Caroline in the City- Sometimes circumstances make it impossible to enjoy a well loved place. Having also visited Fraser in the rain, I can relate. 

• My Journey: From Self Published to Big Publishing Deal- The Fearful Adventurer- Super inspirational for, well me, and super awesome for Torre who just landed a major book and movie deal.
