Friday Postcard: Lisbon’s Oldest Neighborhood

Posted on 29. Jul, 2011 by in Photos

This photo, from Audrey of That Backpacker, was taken in the Alfama district of Lisbon:

This is the picturesque district of Alfama which also happens to be Lisbon’s oldest neighborhood. I rode the tram through narrow winding streets up to the Miradouro de Santa Luzia. From here I was able to enjoy the terracotta coloured roof tiles and shades of cream and pastel found on the city walls.
