Out My Window: A Retrospective
Posted on 14. Jun, 2011 by Steph in Photos
Over the course of my trip I’ve laid my head down in a lot of places, from guest houses in South East Asia to camper vans in Oz to my very own apartment in China. I’ve woken up to dozens of different views, some inspiring and some… not so much. I tried to take a picture out the window of as many of these different places as I could, and here is a compilation of the best:

Hostel: Kyoto, Japan
- Ferry Boat: Somewhere between Osaka and Shanghai

Hostel: Beijing, China

Hostel: Cairns, Australia

Ryan's House: Brisbane, Australia

Campground: Windsor, Australia

Hostel: Sydney, Australia

Guest House: Dalat, Vietnam

Hotel: Hanoi, Vietnam

Guest House, Siem Reap

Love themed posts like this. I should do one on the many sky’s outside my apartment in Auckland. The sky changed there like I couldn’t believe!

Wow – some beautiful views – I think I stayed in that same hostel in Kyoto. Could you stand in that window and take pictures from the street?

Not on that floor, but maybe the floor above? It was right by the Geisha street.

Before I even saw the caption I knew that one photo was Shanghai! I thought it was really cool how people hung their clothes like that all over there. Great pics and good post idea.

Sometimes I would see people hanging clothes up 15 stories off the ground! I always wondered what they did if the clothing fell.

I do the same thing! I’ll eventually put up a post like this – it’s such a great idea!
It’s nice to have a look back to see all of the great places you’ve rested your head. It helps me jog the memories a bit.
