Win Big with Sony and Twenty-Something Travel
Posted on 05. Apr, 2011 by Steph in Housekeeping
This website isn’t ALWAYS all about me. Today I want to give you guys the opportunity to win stuff! Big stuff.
Twenty-Something Travel is partnering with Sony to give you a chance to win $10,000 to spend on a dream vacation, a Sony Reader Pocket Edition (plus one for a friend!) and a $100 Reader store gift card so you can stock up on some juicy reading material. Basically a lot of awesome stuff. Additionally I will be choosing one of you guys myself to win a Sony Reader and $25 gift card.
I love travel and I LOVE reading so I really can’t think of a better combination of goodies. Unfortunately guys this is for US readers only. I promise to come up with something good for the rest of you soon!
Here is how it’s going to work:
It takes a little creativity. See that big box below?
Imagine you’re on your dream vacation and you’re writing me a postcard from that special destination. In your postcard, tell me where you are and what you brought along with you to read. Then have some fun telling me what you’re up to on vacation. Be creative!
Fun and easy right? You have until April 19th to get your entry in. Voting begins April 20th. Visitors to www.readergetawaygiveaway.com will be allowed to vote for their favorite entries one time per entry per day over the course of the voting period which ends April 26, 2011. The person who submitted the postcard that receives the most public votes onwww.readergetawaygiveaway.com at the end of the contest will be rewarded with the grand prize: $10,000 travel stipend, 2 Reader ™ Pocket Editions and $100 in Reader ™ Store gift cards.

I’m embarking on my dream vacation in September! Well… can it still count as a vacation if you’re going to be working? I received news that I got a position as a teaching assistant in France next year, so I will be spending 7-9 months on the east coast of France. As much as I love it over here, I do miss my English reading, so I brought a book that made a huge impact on me and changed the way I think about life: The Lost Girls.
The book changed the way I see the work-play relationship and convinced me to apply for this once in a life time opportunity. Now that I’m here, I can’t wait to explore les chauteaux de le Loire (castles of the Loire valley) and all the cuisine that France has to offer!
If you make it to France, be sure to drop me a line!

Greetings from Australia!
I’ve only been here two days, but already I’m loving it! Still can’t believe I’m actually here, after so long of dreaming. It’s like another world. The food, the culture, the atmosphere. Can’t wait to go snorkeling, maybe even a boat ride out to see the Great Coral Reef, if money and time permits. For now, I’m just enjoying the city, tanning a little, reading my Eragon series. 4th book comes out in November! Excited for that. Wish you were here Steph! Well, got to go! I see some cute boys with accents that need some American attention!

Legal resident, huh? So, since I vote in the US and have a US passport, that counts right? Even though packages sent to me come to a place in Ireland?

I’m guessing give them a US address (friends? family) then have them send it along?

Can someone with a valid student visa studying in the USA apply? My opinion is I should think so since I’m living here for the past almost 4 years.

I’m not sure! I suggest contacting Sony directly to ensure it’s okay.
