Friday Postcard: Washington DC

Posted on 01. Apr, 2011 by in Photos

Is it springtime in DC yet? I hope so. I took these shots last May in the Capitol Hill neighborhood near Eastern Market. DC is so lovely in the springtime and Ican’t lie… I kind of miss it.

I guess technically it is spring in DC….but the weather has been in the 40s/50s the past few days. And raining!

I’m officially in love with the first photo! I love cherry blossoms and the color of the blue house in the background! I hope Spring comes around soon for you!

I love the first photo, too!! I love cherry blossoms! I spent some time traveling Japan, and I actually got a cherry blossom tattoo last year to commemorate it. I love it.

My favorite part of DC is definitely the blooming flowers. Gorgeous.

Pretty color :) We missed the cherry blossom time in WDC several years ago by a week or so. Luckily we have seen it in Tokyo and Sydney. Love cherry blossom!

They only bloom in such a small window- so easy to miss! I bet they were way gorgeous in Sydney though.

It’s getting to be spring, but still a little cold. Last Sunday there was snow on the cherry blossoms!

There are some cherry blossoms on Mike’s campus in xi’an now too, although it’s freaking freeezing.
