Housekeeping Notes

Hey World,

I stopped doing my monthly update posts because time is so weird on the road…. a month can pass by in the blink of an eye while a single afternoon takes decades. Nonetheless I wanted to point out a couple things I’ve been up to around the web which you might find interesting:

• I was interviewed by Chris Christenson of Amateur Travel Podcast talking about my favorite country, Bosnia. His show is awesome and it is such an honor to be featured on it! • I contributed to a neat free ebook “The Ultimate Guide to Your Twenties” put together by The Smart College Grad. It’s full of all sorts of useful articles about career, finances and just life in general.
• Off Track Planet named me one of the 9 Most Succesful Travel Bloggers of 2010, quite an honor because yes, I feel like it was a pretty successful year!
• You might not know it, but my boyfriend is a blogger too (he’s actually on Off Track Planet’s list as well!). If you want the full story on everything we are up to in Thailand, be sure to check out his blog, Art of Backpacking, as well. For starters, here’s a rundown of our debaucherous New Year’s Eve.

Lastly I just wanted to say that I’ve been reading about the flooding in Queensland (link) with a heavy heart. I know I had issues with the rain there, but obviously that was just a prelude to the massive disaster going on there now. I’m just hoping things don’t get much worse before they start to get better.

Currently, I’m in Ko Samui, gearing up for the Full Moon Party on Ko Phang An next week. On the 25^th I will be leaving Thailand and flying to Vietnam! And so the saga continues…
