I was lucky enough to see it a few years ago (well... maybe a lot!), before it got burned. The inner part of the bridge was really stunning, full of amazing paintings. When I read that the bridge had been strongly damaged by the fire, I felt so sorry that such an unique piece of art and testimonial of the past had gone destroyed. I do not really know the extent of the damages, although I believe it was great. Notwithstanding, Lucerne hasn't lost its charm, as Switzerland overall. Lucerne bridge is really awesome!
