Friday Postcard: Edinburgh, Scotland

The ominous  Walter Scott Monument (which Bill Bryson once said looked like a “gothic rocket ship”) lightened up a bit by a Christmas village and festival buzzing at the base.

    Very cool pic! Edinburgh is one of my favorite places on Earth. I love the Scott monument…it’s so gothic and creepy!

    The hoopla of the German Market is an eyesore during the day, but looks pretty magical at night!

    Excellent climb to the top of the Scott Monument – terrific views from the top!
