Have wandered in graveyards all over U.S., but enjoyed the ones in Scotland the most. Inverness had the most interesting ... can't forget the kirkyard on the hill in MacDuff, found a headstone with my sister's full name. Will never forget her face when I showed it to her!

Highgate is one of my favorite cemeteries. Boston has some really interesting ones too. You can clearly see the evolution of artwork in the head stones, and it says a lot about the contemporary society.

I totally love visiting cemeteries too while traveling. A little glimpse into the lives of past residents.

And OMG, love the "DEAD" headstone. I totally need to add that to my will now.

I love anything historic, I'll just wander around looking and thinking about what it would have looked like in its hey day. Australia is still so young we don't have anything like that so I can't wait to get to London. I'll be sure to check out the cemetery later this year when I get there.

Sometimes I feel like a bad traveler when other people want to poke around the cemeteries and admire all of the headstones and I'm like, well, ah, I'll meet up with you later. While I do occasionally wander the odd cemetery here and there, ummm...not my fav activity. That being said, love that "dead" headstone - you've got some great shots!

Yeah, 6 pounds for the west cemetery and 3 for the east. All the funds go towards preservation though so it's important!
