As usual, there were some great articles out in the blogosphere over the past couple of weeks. Here are some I found particularly useful:
- *Another* Trip?!? How to Explain the Travel Bug to Those Who Just Don’t Have It- It can be frustrating when people can’t or won’t accept your lifestyle choices. Amanda Kendle at Vagabondish has some helpful tips for trying to get your point across.
- Travel Safety: 50 Tips for Solo Travelers- From Solo Traveler some really useful tips to consider whether traveling solo or not. Even more juicy tidbits in the comments.
- 7 Ways to Get the Best Fall and Holiday Travel Deals- From the always useful budget blog WiseBread. There are some really great tips and websites featured here.
- How to Travel to Outer Space- For the adventurous traveler whose been everywhere else, Hal Amen on Matador Travel takes a realistic look at your options for Space Tourism.
- 5 Simple Ways Solo Travelers Can Save the Planet- October 15th was Blog Action Day for environmental issues and Gray Cargill of SoloFriendly.com (and frequent commenter on this blog!) took the opportunity to come up with 5 very easy steps any traveler can take to reduce the environmental impact of their travel.
- Why You Should Quit Your Job and Travel Around the World- This one is an oldie but goodie from the wise Chris Guillebeau at The Art of Non-Conformity. Christ runs down the common excuses for not traveling and murders them with logic.
