Applying for a Passport: The Basics

Before you can go adventuring anywhere it is essential that you have a valid passport. People tend to put this off as it’s a slightly complicated and tedious process. Don’t leave this to the last minute as the process can take a long time and speeding it up is costly! I would recommend applying for your passport right away, even if you haven’t started planning a trip yet. That way you will have it when you need it and in the meantime it is a useful peace of identification in many situations.

The Twenty-Something Travel Manifesto

You’ve probably heard it once and over again: Your twenties are supposed to be the best years of your life. This may or may not be true but what is certain is that the experiences you have in the years between 20 and 29 years old are probably going to be some of the most joyous, depressing, scary, confusing and exciting things you will ever do.
Which is what makes now the ideal time to see the world. Some people will tell you to wait to travel until after you are established. Wait until you are making more money. Wait until you are retired. But just when is that perfect time actually going to arrive? Chances are that never again in your life will you have the resources, lack of commitments, energy and good health that you (hopefully) have right now.
